Sport & Games - Exercising the body and mind

As an essential part of a healthy lifestyle, every child is encouraged to take regular exercise. Infants learn early skills of co-ordination and balance using a variety of equipment and through music and creative movement. All Junior classes are time- tabled for physical activity each week, plus additional swimming, team practices and inter-house competitions.

Despite its relatively small size, The Shrubbery fields successful teams in netball, football, cross-country, athletics and swimming. The Shrubbery plays an extremely active role in the Sutton Primary Schools' Sports Association and has strong links with local sports clubs. Many pupils have gone on to achieve district, county and national recognition.
