Parents Pupils School - Building a partnership

A successful school relies on the valuable partnership between home and school. At The Shrubbery we encourage close contact between home and school to maintain this partnership. Apart from formal parents' evenings and written progress reports throughout the year, staff are available to discuss any aspect of a child's education or welfare. This can easily be arranged through the school office.

Informal parents' evenings such as 'Meet the Teacher' are also held where parents are able to hear about the curriculum for the forthcoming academic year, meet other parents and be introduced to their child's new teacher.

Parents are invited into school to join in our Christmas celebrations, annual bazaars, sports days, fun days and swimming gala. We welcome parental help with sponsored events, the school disco and Christmas parties.

Social events are held to further involve parents in school life, these have included a fancy dress disco for parents and children, car treasure hunts and quiz nights.
